Running away to Brazil!!

Brazil is truly a remarkable country.  If the beaches and the vast geographical landscapes aren`t enough to captivate you, then the warm and welcoming citizens will definitely find a way to charm you.  It’s almost as if you can travel for years and you still wont see it in its entirety.  After our (long awaited) vacation we have nothing but good things to say about Brazil and its people.

First stop: Ilha do Mel.  A tropical island off the southern coast of Brazil, it is the perfect place to escape the noise and lights of the city (literally, cars aren’t allowed on the island).  An adventurer’s paradise, Ilha do Mel is a great place to relax and soak in the energy.

Caipirinhas!  Whether you want to or not, you will not be able to escape what is perhaps the country’s most famous drink.  Literally sold at every corner, the Caipirinha is the perfect fruit cocktail to take a load off!

A definite MUST-SEE, Iguazu Falls offers breathtaking scenery and what I consider to be a truly Majestic atmosphere.  When the stress of the real world weighs down on you, there is nothing like these incredibly humbling experiences to bring things back into perspective.

Rio!  The final stop to a great trip, Rio de Janeiro is the perfect place to decompress and truly soak in the Brazilian culture.  Filled with tons of places to site see, there aren’t enough hours in the day to see it all!  A few must-see’s include Christo Redentor, Pao de Azucar, Jardim Botanico, Lapa, Escaleras de Celaron and Museu do Amanha.

Home to the most beautiful beaches on the planet, its not just the sun and the cool ocean breeze that compel you to stay.  A place where one can truly relax, Ipanema Beach is the perfect getaway- in every way.

We can say without hesitation that this has been a great vacation, and that the country and the people of Brazil have not only been the best hosts, but have reminded us that money spent traveling is money well spent.
